Kampmann was founded in 1927 in Dortmund, Germany. Since its founding in the center of the Ruhrgebiet, the company has grown steadily, from a small trading company owned by the family to a high-tech industrial company.

Initially, the Kampmann activities were concentrated on trade with cutting tools of all kinds. Over the years its own tool production was established, where beside the production, had began the repairing os cutting tools. Finally, the company was specialized more and more on the manufacture and repair of metal cutting circular saws for cutting metal materials.

In the 80's years finally own developments were put on the market such as the surface coating of high speed steel saws using vacuum-deposited titanium and aluminum nitrides, as well as the development of new tooth geometries.

In 1992 a new plant was purchased in Werl, 50 km from Dortmund, where new production lines were set up with the newest machines at that time, including a laser cutting system, a system for automatic soldering of carbide teeth and CNC controled grinding machines.

Today, Kampmann is active in all parts of the world and employs highly qualified personnal, which garantees the consistent level of quality in manufacturing and repair of high-quality saw blades of different diameters and requirements. Since 1996, Kampmann operates a subsidiary in Brazil, Belo Horizonte (MG). About this branch the entire Latin American market is supplied with high performance circular saws.
